Steps in the Light is a Scripture based Twelve Step fellowship of persons with a desire to recover from any and all dependencies or addictions.
Together we will achieve and maintain a life free of bondage that only God can and will provide. Steps in the Light defines addiction as “anything we like or are compelled to do which results in negative and destructive outcomes, and potential harm to ourselves or those we love and care about.” It is our mission to provide support and guidance to abstain from any compulsive engagement in stimuli that results in adverse consequences. We will remain free of our compulsive behavior and will assist others with the same. We also understand the struggle to resist temptation is a continuous and forever battle. With the love and guidance of the Lord, Steps in the Light intends to deliver support anonymously and free of charges or dues, as long as God provides. All are welcome and all will be helped without judgement. Together and through faith in our Lord, we will make it through.
Many of us are just waking up to the fact that recovery is an essential part of life for everyone. It is the simple but challenging process of daily seeking God’s will for our life instead of demanding to go our own way. It is allowing God to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves, while also taking the steps necessary to draw closer to our Creator and Redeemer.
